The epic summer of Fetty Wap a singer/rapper that completely dominated the hottest months of 2016 in the hip hop world. The crazy part is how he was caught off guard by stardom and opportunity. 

Fetty Wap whose real name is Willie Maxwell II was shot to stardom when his first released single controlled the top slot and radio stations across the nation in 2016! Sadly the catapult was premature because he couldn’t keep up with the demand of great hit tracks as fast as the industry demanded. He even admits in an interview that it all happened too fast and the he wasn’t as musically savvy as the music industry needed him to be after the rise to fame. 

He recorded his first hit record in a home studio putting down vocals in a closet never knowing it would erupt to the number one single. He had to rush into professionalism before he knew it. He was able to produce another hit single on the same album but the album wasn’t strong enough to play through and enjoy. He never truly found his footing in the music industry to be able to bounce back to the top and his name has drifted away from the fans as fast as it came. Nevertheless He Weill always own the summer of 2016 with singles “Trap Queen” and “Mines Again”!
